Finally got mine installed. Taking the boat out tomorrow. Going from a 10+ year old Eagle. Any tips to make first use less frustrating?

I haven't installed mine yet but I've been watching videos and reading tips. I powered it up and did a couple of things right off the bat.
I made sure that the Fishing Mode was set to Shallow Water since I won't be in water much deeper than 30 feet normally.
I have the Hook4 because I'm using it on a kayak and space is limited. If I use a split screen, I will set the display to put the screens on top of each other instead of side-by-side so I can see more history without scrolling back.
I added a few waypoints manually so I can try some navigation options when I hit the water.
It looks like the Contrast is another setting that needs to be dialed in on the water. The other sensitivity settings are a matter of preference but what I've seen says that you need to find the zone where you don't get too much clutter without losing too much info.
Buy a micoSD card before you go fishing and share some good screenshots.

change orientation to where heading is up and not north. Makes reading map while driving easier.

I have to hook 7. It fairly easy. There is a spot in delacroix that I accidentally marked man overboard though. Not sure how to remove it. It's there every time I pass the spot.
