Tractor supply has a Cannon 80 gun safe on sale for $999. I dont have 80 guns but would like the room for personal paperwork, money, hard drives, etc. It is the same price as the 48 gun and 64 gun safes at TS right now.

Bring your ole lady to Bowies tonight. You'll get anywhere from 10-50% off at the register.

I bought the Canon 48 gun safe for 800 out the door couple of years back from TS. Go 60.
It will fill up fast with rifles and scopes and then the rest of stuff that over time you put in there.
It can never be too big.

Just make sure it will fit where you want to put it.

No. Most have a grommet to run power to the outside of the safe for lights/dehumidifier...

Before you drop 4 figures or more on a safe, at least educate yourself on what you're buying - what you're not buying, and why.

Just bought a Liberty Fatboy 48. American made, not necessarily the highest fire/security rating, but couldn't pass up the deal.

You'll get tired of looking and hopefully make a decision on your need and price.

I'm also in the market for one. There is a video on you tube that I found that explains a lot about different types of safes, how theives will try to break into them, ect. If you search "gun safes, the truth" you should find it. It's about 30 minutes but should answer a lot of questions. Hope this helps.

Just a heads up, some people are boarder line fanatical about gun safes. You're going to get some answers that say it's a great deal and some who say you should encase your whole house in concrete and used M1 Abrams armor plates.

Do some research on them. They're all just sheet metal boxes with Sheetrock lining. IMO you need to think about how many dollars worth of stuff is going in it, and how hardcore of a thief or fire do you feel like you really need protection against.

Odds are a $1000 safe that size isn't going to be bombproof. It'll probably stop and casual thrives and house fire that gets put out relatively quickly.

The difference between a Stack-on $150 12 gun safe and a $1000 Browning, Cannon, etc. 50 gun 30 min burn safe is 3 inches of sheetrock and a little more room. Make sure you'er you know what your buyin it for, If it is security your looking for, you need something more custom and robust with thicker sheet metal probably cheap end of $3500 to $5000. You can break into a $150 and a $1000 safe sold at local stores in basically the same 30 seconds to 1 minute. just fyi.

Decent safe. Do not let a fire safe fool you though into a false sense of security. You need at least 2 hours for protection for documents. So with the extra room but a small fire safe inside the big safe!
