Coming to the OB looking for advice. Does anyone have any recommendations of a good turkey taxidermist around Baton Rouge? If so, how much and how long did it take to get the mount back? Thanks.

If you're willing to drive to Natchez a guy named Tucker Crisp does really good job.

Never gotten a turkey mounted for two reasons.

1. I've only seen a couple that I thought looked decent.

2. The guys who can make one look decent charge so much and take so long it's barely worth it to me.

Get a nice beard, tail fan set and if it's got good hooks, get the feet dried and hung.

Probably seems like a good idea now, but really, can you see yourself in a few years with a full sized turkey in your home?

It won't be as cool as you think it is now, while your excited.

David Bush in st. Amant does the best turkey I've ever seen, but you're going to have to pay and wait a while on it. It's well worth it though.

For the sake of argument GET YOUR TURKEY MOUNTED!! I mounted one about 15 years ago I have never regretted it. I love remembering the hunt when I look at him.

Can't reccomend anyone though.

This is one I took a couple of weeks ago.
Lot cheaper than mounting whole bird.

I've gotten one mounted and keep it in my garage. Dave Luke in breaux bridge mounted it and did a great job. Only problem was it took over a year. Was hoping to find a good taxidermist that was just a little quicker. Even though fast normally means crappy.
