As far as looks, the gmc looks better...but don't they mark those up about $500-1000?

If so, just get the chevy.

Honest question, do you need a diesel? Going to pay an extra $6-8k for the truck plus $0.80 a gallon. So basically an extra $10k over 5 years.

But if you will use it, DO IT!

I really don't even if you get better mpg from it but costs more for gas.

I just plan to get a Chevy Silverado Z-71 Crew Cab with a standard box

Yeah, what do you tow that a Tahoe cannot pull but a 1500 can? Thought they had same towing capacity?

Well thats a wide range of weights, my sierra with the 6.2 handles my 55hp kubota with loader and bush hog fine. Trailer has electric brakes, but i would'nt want to go much larger. I would determine what the max weight I was going to tow before I bought a 2500. Not gone give you a fake stat but most people who drive 3/4 ton trucks don't need them.

Transport our 40 ton log splitter, ATVs, big cub cadet lawnmower and tons of other crap down there.

Does your trailer have a recovery winch on it?

What's your budget? I have a '15 Denali with the 6.2 and from the driver's seat, it's the best truck available. I think it looks better than the rest as well, but that's subjective.

Better than our Yukon. I don't get very good gas mileage, but I drive it like an a-hole. My wife usually gets at or above 20 mpg. I have a pretty good tune on it, too.

My truck is the 6.2 Denali also, I dont think you can get the max tow in the the denali. For what you said you tow, any half ton truck will do fine. Use the 10k you save and buy a nice trailer. And no my trailer doesnt have a winch. I get real world 16 in town, 20 - 22 out on the road depending on how may times I want to hear the borla's purr passing someone.

Thanks for the advice. I plan to test drive a lot of them. How big is the gas tank?
