In case you don't venture over to the O-T, Livingston Parish waterways closed until Monday.

Motherfrick. I'm gonna try to put in on the Ascension side and see what happens. Amite River is on the border.

I highly doubt they'll be above Port Vincent.

What makes you say that? I see LDWF, APSO and LPSO every weekend between Big Johns and Freds. Most of them even put in at Big Johns.

Opportunistic waterway law enforcement all on the Mississippi and Atchafalaya piling up taxpayer funded overtime.

We put in a few weeks ago in Jones Creek by White Oak Landing, took a few hrs. before we saw anyone. Then it was a couple guys from LSU doing a river study and a family camping on the river bank, that had been there for a couple weeks.

Doesn't someone that owns or works at Tiki Tubing post on TD? I've been thinking about calling them to see what it would cost to launch from their facility. It would be a good run from there to Freds. I'm unsure if you can get through the area where I-12 construction is. I wouldn't think they'd have the entire river blocked, but I don't know. If Freds it too far from Tiki, you could get out of the river near lake a white Oak.

Last Sunday I put in just south of Freds and paddled about 8-9 miles upstream to the sand bars and then turned around and paddled back. I was going to do the same this Sunday, but it looks like I may have to make 3-4 laps around the big LSU lake.

Dad- Would it be safe to leave a vehicle where you put in at Jones creek?
