Where is the best place to by a new mower? Can be zero turn or regular riding mower. Looking for at least 20 HP and 48'' cut.

Also, what brands do yall recommend?
TIA

Here is a few threads you might get something out of.

I would go with a Walker if you have the money. Exmarks are decent too.

Get a Bush Hog zero turn. They come in various HP and widths. Some of the best mowers out there.

With 2 acres, i'd definitely encourage a zero turn.

2 acres isn't bad at all. If there are no obstacles, I would save the money and get a regular ol riding rig. We have a 42" john deere with a kawasaki V2 engine and that thing hauls arse and doesn't bog down. Also easier to drink beer while on regular riding mower...

Zero turns are very nice when you have lots of obstacles. Regular riding ones are better for just cutting a square patch of yard with a house in the middle.

I have no idea. My dad bought it 4 or 5 years ago. I do know that the same motor and cutting deck will be much cheaper on a regular riding setup than a zero turn.

whats yr thoughts on a Husqvarna? My dad has had a John Deere x300 for the last 6-7 years and has never had one problem with it. I might be best to just go with that one. The only negative with it is the turning radius is not very good

They make really nice chainsaws and stuff. No clue about the mowers. Basically, with lawn mowers, you get exactly what you pay for.

Kawasaki is the best I've fooled with. Kohlers are also really good. I tore apart a 16 year old kohler engine that had been ran until the mower fell apart and it still had absolutely nothing wrong with it. Not even carbon deposits on the cylinder.

ETA: Briggs motors are not bad, they just tend to be very very loud.
