Lawn Mower stopped instantly

Was cutting grass today...alot later than I use to so I was running with the lights on the whole time. Cut the back, cut the side, was cutting the front when it died all of a sudden. No sputter or anything. Just died. When I turn the key, there's nothing....not even a click to tell me I'm screwed. Any thoughts?
UPDATE: It was both a dead battery and blown fuse. Got it running. Was running very sluggish for some reason. THEN tried to engage blades and the engage switch comes flying out into my hand...FML. HAHA. Ordered one of those. On the way. So back to the sluggish. Noticed I had forgot to put spark plug cover back on, could that have been the problem?

Check the fuse. I have had my fuse blow, replaced it, and had no further issue.

Which fuse? Forgive my ignorance but is there only one?

Sucked up a rope or something around the blades?

May have a wire or something come lose around a kill switch, pissibly under the seat?

Sounds electrical to me, like a wire came loose, loss of connection, fuse blew, etc. If it was mechanical you should still be able to get it to try to restart.
Check your battery connections, could be one of them popped off. Did you hit a bump or something? What were you mowing at like 10pm?

Sorry I fell asleep after the post. Near the battery and ignition switch there usually is a block or termination with a 15 or 20 amp fuse. Check it out.

they have 2 places they put the fuses, one is at the back near the starter solenoid usually on the frame rail and connected with a clip to hold it in place.and often the only way to see it is to take the battery out.
some mowers have a fuse up by the key switch behind the gas tank, its usually up top or on the side connected with a clip to hold it in place.
if its not the fuses then it could be the magneto under the flywheel went out or the key switch went bad or you have a bad wire or safety switch somewhere and those can be a pain to track down. if you aren't used to tracing electrical problems and the fuses are good, then bring it to the shop to have it fixed.
if its an old mower then instead of paying a shop $200 to fix it, you can sell it for $200 like it is and let someone else try to fix it.

Definitely electrical. Probably a safety kill switch. Seat, parking brake, zero turn drive levers, etc.

Check the battery voltage.
Maybe the charging system went out.

What mower do you have and how old is it?

Husqvarna. Bought it used 2 years ago. Manual says it can be anywhere from a 2002-2007
