Got lucky yesterday morning and caught a 10lb 2oz fat girl on Toledo. Unfortunately she died in my live well on the way to Toledo Town. Anyways guys this will be my first mounted bass, any opinions on skin vs replica mountain?

Replicas normally look less than real. You have the fish....use it.

Nothing like it man. I hooked up with the 10 pounder about 15 yards out and the 7 pounder at 30 yards out. Both were incredible fights. I almost wish I wouldn't have caught the 7 pounder. I stayed too long on the lake, I wish I could have gotten the 10 pounder back in the water. So hard to leave a spot like that when you have hawgs smoking poppers.

Sweet, I'll finally be going back Sunday. If you're still there and fishing Sunday night I might try to take you up on that offer!

I have 2 over 10 lb. replicas and they look great. If the fish is dead, no use doing a replica IMO.

man, I don't know if I have ever seen a 10 lb'er...that is a damn monstrousity.

If I had caught those two fish, I'd start a stringer of monsters by mounting the 10 lb that you kept and do a replica of the 7lb...

She's a stud. Crazy part is she's a hair skinny. I honestly bet she was close to 13 lbs in March. Also they were within 4 cast of eachother, it was incredible.

I'm glad someone had luck out there. We were there all weekend and got the following:

Saturday AM: 4 fish 1 keeper (2 lb)
Saturday PM: 0 fish

Sunday AM: 1 Fish, 1 keeper (2 lb)

Monday AM: 6 fish, all keepers (4 lb was the biggest)

Anyway, congrats on the hog... post pics when you get a chance.
