Brought my kid last year (toddler) to see the dogs and such and it is just too fricking crowded. I guess that's a good thing for many...

I don't like going because of the large crowd either. However, if you can make it Friday during the day it is nice. Went last year of Friday around 11:00and you could easily walk around with out bumping into people.
