KYSEK Ice chest lid question

Anybody own one? and if so, does your lid have insulation in it? I just bought one and did the flashlight test to make sure there were no gaps in the insulation and the entire lid appears to be hollow. Is this by design somehow or did they forget to insulate my lid?

I know nothing of the owner. I researched and found these the have good reviews with better size options for me than the other high end coolers.
