My girls 8 & 4 want to go fishing for trout and reds with me more often than not lately. My oldest is a pro with her 33 classic. Bait, cast, reel, etc. couple questions for the OB though.
She has a Shimano Sedona 500fd but I'm not sure of a couple things. Is it fair to put her on such a small reel for saltwater fishing? Or just buy her a 2500?
The rod it is on is a 4' ugly stick which is just about her same height. Upgrade it possibly to a full size spinner for more backbone and maybe 110 yards of 12 lb braid?
If you upgrade the rod what are some recs for 50-100$. Kids rod I remind you.
