We keep one at the lake house for bass caught.
Info contained:
1. Conditions (weather and lake)
2. Bait used
3. Where caught (we have names for all hot spots)
4. # of bass caught
5. Anything over 3lbs. must be noted.
6. Who was fishing. (if 2 in boat, the boat
gets credit, not the individual)

At the end of the year, I make a tally and see how we did. The logs have become an important refrence that go back to the 70's when Grandpa began them. Also, getting your name in the logbook has become a point of pride for some. I tell em to catch some bass and they are logged in.
Once, I logged how many catfish I caught and my uncle yelled at me for logging trash fish.
Anyone else keep records of fish?
