Looking for entry level kayak that I can use on the rivers and lakes around home….and in the fishing spots around GS/OB a couple times of year.

YouTube has too much content! It is overwhelming.

Any help is appreciated.

Plenty of info here.
LINK

Personally I'd buy a used Pedal Kayak like a Hobie Outback, Old Town PDL or Native.

Do you have a budget in mind?
Are you wanting pedal or paddle?

I like my Nucanoe Frontier 12. Wide, stable, 650 lb weight capacity. Pack & Paddle in Lafayette was great to deal with.

For entry level exercise you have plenty of options. If you're going to fish get foot power, used, the nicest one you can find in your budget. It won't matter much if you just fish a couple of times a year, but if fishing is a focus get foot power.

Get something cheap until you are sure you like it, then look on Craig's list and Facebook Market... Most of the kayaks being sold in Louisiana are geared toward fishing.
