How do you like the 6.5-300 WBY? Saw one for sale and liked the ballistics but was worried about ammo availability. Seems like a lot of people on this thread are using WBY cartridges.

Yeah the ammo is pricy. Yeah the ammo can be scarce but I have the gun sighted in and have 2.5 boxes of ammo. That’ll last me probably 10 years

If you want a hunting rifle, it’s great. If you want a shooting rifle, wrong gun.

I’m back at it. It’s a miserable cold day. 43 right now but with the wind it feels like 37.

Have no idea what I’m going to do, may just drive on top of a ridge and see if I can catch anything slipping.

Well, it didn't and I couldn't convince the boy to stay all day. I get it, out there from before 6 all day is a lot. I got down and we walked out around 2. I gotta get him some visuals soon to get him excited, it's just tougher here post-rut.
