RED BEER buck kill yesterday has inspired me to get after them today.

Jarreau, LA
Overgrown fence row between hayfields
61 degrees, 2 mph SE wind with cloudy skies
Golden eagle Orion, 26” XX75 tipped with 75 gr rocket

Just got settled into this tent blind watching a pile of sweet feed poured over a salt block. Slinging arrow at any moving brown object this morning, I need fried backstrap!

Back at it again this morning.
Simsboro, La
Same stand on pipeline 35 Whelen.
REB Jr came meet me and he’s in a stand on a shooting lane in the woods with a 44 Mag
61° light wind seems like from the south because I could smell the paper mill driving in.

Good luck Baws

I'll head out a little later, but I'm a little bummed. I've been after a nice 10-point and almost had an opportunity last Sunday. He came behind me after shooting light ended and right after I lowered my bow.

I heard this morning that a big buck was hit by a truck yesterday right by the house, and I have a feeling it was him. I'd assume there aren't too many big ones right by my house like him. I put out a couple more cameras and will try to either see him or catch him on camera. Man, I hope it wasn't him but that's the game.

In the blind, Ouachita Parish.
86 degrees. What the hell was I thinking?
Mathews V3X 33
Sirius Apollos paired with tuffhead single bevels

Note to self. Don’t sit in the ground blind when it’s over 80 degrees. Stick to the trees!

Im set up on an overgrown trail they use to get from one hardwood bottom to the other. I’m hoping to catch them traveling from their bedding to their food source.

The other guy hunting the property said not much movement this morning so I’m hoping they’ll move this evening.

Hunting the same stand since yesterday. I’m probably hard headed but for having so many day time pics of big bucks throughout the last couple of weeks, nothing has shown its face in the daylight since Friday morning.
