I had planned on going home last night but I left my interior light on in my truck the past two days ;banghead: Got someone coming to jump me off after morning hunt
Ladder stand on planted strip. Lots of scrapes just across the ditch at the end of the strip being worked. Maybe something will cruise through
Buck down. Hate that I shot this deer but frick these intruders. People show up to hunt the stands I hung and plots I planted with intent on shooting anything? Good luck cause nothing will be left. And yea, I'm mad

I hear ya. Is it trespassers on leased land or other members of a club you are worried about?

Land owner told me I could hunt his place since nobody else does. Said he didn't want a lease or money. Just plant plots, build a permanent box stand and help him out. I Spent over 2k on plots, stands, and feeding minerals all summer. Lots of pressure surrounding so I've been letting every buck walk for next year. Last week 2 guys showed up and set up camp. Said they have already discussed details for next year and have been hunting my plots and stands. Who the frick shows up Dec 30th without putting in a damn thing and takes over!?
So, frick these people. I know I should have a better attitude but screw it. They took advantage of the landowner. Oh, and I also told them I didn't want them putting out corn because it only attracts hogs. Douche bag put up a feeder anyway and guess what, killed a pig that was traveling with 8 others headed right to the guys feeder.

Are the people there relatives of the landowner or just guys that have taken advantage of him and he doesn't know any better? I don't guess they would want to work something out with you and put in work next season or if the property is big enough or if you don't want to worry with them. Places are hard to come by, especially when they are free.

This morning was pretty, but I didn't see the first rack... Couple spikes pushing does hard, so I know they were moving. One of those days I guess.

Back in the stand. Went to the back of my lease to see what's going on. Haven't hunted this stand in two weeks. Maybe I'll see big boy. Took a big doe this morning, waited about 15 minutes of her grazing and nothing followed. I put her down. The in laws need meat. I'm horn hunting this evening.
Had 4 does running this morning before I took the doe, about 10 minutes behind them a small spike was chasing them. I guess it's still a few days away before the big boys start coming out.

My anger and frustrations have been building and got the best of me this morning. I've never felt so guilty for shooting a deer before as I do now

That sucks, the world is full of assholes. Did landowner take advantage of you? I would stack them up like cord wood, if you need some tags i'll mail you mine.

No he didn't. The owner has the time and money to do it all himself. Was just a favor to me really. Ive talked to him a few times and it's obvious he he doesn't like it any more than I do but he was put in a bad spot by another family member so I don't hold anything against him

Put locks on your stands. No way in hell I would tolerate anyone getting in my stands after all that work you did.

I got it. So it's his family that are letting people or basically talking him into letting hunt it. Man that's a bad situation. Sucks because now a day it's hard to find a situation like that. I mean getting into a club is doable but costly and you had it made. We only pay $600 to the landowner to lease this place. We do all of the "work" or lack there of, ourselves. Which is normally just me and I don't have the equipment to do it all. Only 3 hunters access it.
