is the takedown feature on ruger 10/22 worth extra money?

Its a different gun with a different purpose. A regular 10/22 is great for packing through the woods, shooting cans, teaching kids how to shoot. A bull barrel 10/22 is meant for target shooting. The Takedown model is for throwing in a camping bag, back of a truck, survivalist, etc.
