If this needs to be moved to the tech board.....ok

Never run the not this before so my Question: factory wiring adapter has two black and two yellow wires. Car stereo harness has one yellow and one black. Do I just twist the three like colors together?

I wouldn't, I'm assuming you are using adapter plugs for your particular vehicle, if so plug it in and use the wires thar match if there are no instructions

So you bought the proper adapter to connect the OEM harness to the head unit harness?

If you did, you wouldn't be doing anything other than plugging the two together and then you will be splicing the adapter for the radio to the one that connects to your stock harness

Eta: If you got the correct adapter that connects to the OEM harness, the wires will be the exact same color as the ones coming from the back of the radio (with a couple of exceptions)

Eta #2: The OP reads like you did not get the adapter. In that case, you're gonna need a factory wiring diagram and the wiring diagram for the radio. Wouldn't advise doing it that way

Thanks for the help fellas. Sorry if the op wasn't clear.

I did buy the Chrysler adapter. I called a guy and he said "yes, connect all like colors, twist the three blacks together and the three yellow's together". Done with install and drinking a silver bullet now.

My wife wanted hands free in both kids' vehicles. So installed new stereos in the F150 yesterday evening and the jeep today. The mounting kits and adapters have come a long way since I was a kid installing these things. They look damn near factory when you're done.
