I will have to drill two new holes(aluminum boat) due to size of new transducer. Would you just JB weld the old holes, put silicone and leave old screws in place, or JB weld the old screws in place?

This is what I did on a fiberglass boat. Filled existing holes with silicon then screwed in screws.

Use a transducer mounting plate. It will cover the old holes. I think it's just a starboard plate.

Only use 5200 on anything you never want to remove. The 4200 is alot easier if you ever have to go back.

I thought I had lucked out and wasn't going to have to drill, 17 year old lowrance bracket was exactly the same as the new Lowrance bracket. That new transducer is just a little to big, protrudes beneath hull by a fraction of inch. I will probably go with the 5200 like Pickle said, I already have tube in the console. I think this will be the last time I will be installing new transducer on this boat.
