Hey guys, I'm trying to install a new stereo into my Jeep. The guy I bought the Jeep from uninstalled the one he had in there before selling it.

The problem I'm having is he didn't leave me any wiring to connect a new stereo to. When he did the V8 swap, he had to install a computer for it and it under the dash. I'm sure I could find something to connect to but I don't want to risk screwing it up.

What other ways can I do this? I know I need a constant, an accessory and a ground. The rest I can figure out.

How do you turn the radio off when the car cuts off?

My main problem is I don't have an accessory wire. How do you cope for this?

Get a volt meter.
Probe wires on ignition switch in steering column.
Find wore with 12v+ when key is turned

What did the guy have in it that he took out? Any head unit would have some type of wiring harness with power, ground, speaker wires, etc. Usually an aftermarket head unit will have to have an adapter spliced on to match the factory connection. Look for a flat plug with 12 or so wires that's not connected to anything

This, there should be some plug from the old one because newer aftermarket units have plugs. You may also have to get a plug that matches your unit.

This. But are sure he took the acc wire with him? That would be more trouble than it's worth to remove it. Is there any factory wiring back there?

There's not a harness connecting it to the factory stereo wiring?

If not, it's gonna be a PITA connecting all of those wires.
