rut is on San Saba county Texas. got my good buddy Dave (from the northshore ) on the front 20 and i’m on the back 20. last weekend of archery season here. bucks chasing does but nothing to write home about. front just passed, hunt is on till monday morning when i go back to work and drives back to louisiana.
i’ll keep y’all posted if we get lucky.

My buddy has an 800 acre lease back behind tractor supply in San Saba and it’s got a ton of hogs. I go there with him twice a year to kill hogs and give free labor.

Seen a few axis by the Women’s prison in the way in.

Jackson parish La. Raining hard but should blow through , opening day of rifle season. Had a couple of good bucks killed this week with muzzle loaders.
On my favorite pipeline box stand. 7 MM RUM good luck!

Grew up down Poston rd on Cook Bayou. I usually deer hunted down on the river on the old GU Parker WMA.

Cook bayou, big arse trout in the winter. I'm on a deseret lease. They own everything now. 2.2 million acres
