I've never owned one, but would with the right feedback. Probably use it for fun at the range and as an occasional pocket gun. Would like input on preferred brands, calibers and any other useful information. Thanks in advance!

Put a few through one chambered in .38 Spc. Not exactly fun to shoot and ones with the classic trigger setup are even less so.

Bond Arms advertises quite a bit. Just can't imagine shooting 410 or 45 calibers in such a small platform. Still, wouldn't mind playing with some just to see if it's worth the investment.

I have a five shot .22lr single action derringer. Fun little pocket gun, other than the powder burns you get on your hand from firing it

My brother bought a cobra 9mm derringer at a gun show for an ankle gun. Worst thing ive ever shot. No kidding, the trigger had at least a 40lb pull.

Much better options for this. If you're just buying it for fun that's understandable but for serious self defense a Derringer sucks.
If you just need another excuse to buy a gun it's a good choice though.

Yeah, you have to roll down on the trigger rather than pull back on it. They get better with dry firing and a little moly-based grease but still not something you want to put a box of bullets through in one sitting.
