Identify this fish we caught offshore

caught him last night diamond jigging at frontrunner






Although we only kept 4 Yellowfin and 15 black fin we still had a good time and from what I hear they havent been catching any tuna in the MC, thats why we went to the GC.

Dinner tonight:
even though i overcooked the tuna its not pictured but i also fried some bite size pieces of tuna and it was legit

no one i have talked to yet has a clue what it is and my buddy whose boat we were on is a charter captain

Wasn't sure. Closest resemblance I could see. Judging by those teeth...it is a "bite yo arse" fish.

Looks like a needle fish to me. I'm about to look it up to see if that assumption is accurate.

ETA: it could be a needle fish, but I'm not completely sure. More/better pics would be needed for a non-expert such as myself to be sure.
