I've never owned a good shotgun. Currently running a Mossberg 835 Ulti-mag for duck hunting and everything else requiring a shottie. I sometimes paddle the boat with it. Often it falls in the mud. But I can't bring myself to buy a $1000+ shotgun.

No deal, man....I hunt with a Remington 11-87, which people tell me is not dependable enough to hunt with. I have hunted with it since the late'80s and it has never failed me, so I just let them laugh...and offer them some ducks when the hunt is over....

I'm dirt poor yo. Can we take up a collection for me to have a nice shotgun?

I have been shooting an 870 supermagnum for 15 years or so. Killed tons of ducks, deer, squirrel, hogs and dive with it. Reliable as hell.

I attended the first Valero Texas Open sporting clay shoot with the president of the company I worked for at the time. Told him I could represent the company much better with a shotgun vs a golf club. Outshot most of the high class over and under & auto shotgun owners with a pump. They laughed at first, but the laughs were short lived.... I just can't bring myself to spend the money on high class shotguns, rifles are a little different in my opinion. Pow pow bang bang, do what you like baw

I've got a SBE-II. I'll never buy another shotgun for dove, duck, or turkey.

My cheaper shotgun is probably my 870. I honestly don't use it at all. I have much better options no matter the application.

Hunted all my life with an 870 or a NEF Pardner pump. Never had an issue or missed a bird because of the gun.

My 835 has been named the meat cleaver. I've had it for 15 years, looks like crap and still as reliable as the day I took it out of the box. Gun doesn't make the shooter....

Mossberg 500 here. Ive killed ducks, deer, rabbits, squirrels, doves, and many other things with it over the years. I like that I can trudge through the woods with it and not worry.

Same for me. Shot an 870 since I was a kid. Went to an sbe2 about 6 years ago, and will never go back.
