Hunting license

Do you need a hunting license if you are only going to sit in a stand with someone else? My boyfriend told me I could tag along anytime and just sit in the stand with him but I don't want to have to get a license just to do that. I wouldn't have a gun with me he would have it and he would be the one shooting.

Pretty sure you still have to get a hunting license. You don't have to take the hunter education course tho. Your license will just have a restriction on it saying you have to be hunting with someone. And yes, I'm pretty sure it has to be on private land.

no, I don't think you need a hunting license if you are not hunting....however, I speak from experience when I tell you the game wardens get suspicious as hell when they find out that you don't have one...if you go that route, your boy friend had better be damn sure he has all of his shite in order, because he will be cut no slack if checked...
