My dad is trying to get rid of a rifle and a pistol and asked for my help. He said nobody reads the classifieds in his local paper anymore. So I took a bunch of pictures and went to post to Craigslist and noticed they forbid selling of guns. It was in fine print, so I made a new email and posted anyway, just to see if that rule is really enforced. Yep--took that bad boy down in about 15 minutes.

So, where do the fine baws of the OB sell their gear?

I'd try friends and family first.

As far as dealing with the public don't include his full name or address or some thieves might pay him a visit. Cell phone # is the way to go.

I know the pistol is a 10mm Glock with a couple of clips and a holster. Can't remember the rifle info. If any of y'all are seriously interested, I can get the details. But not trying to solicit anything here except advice.

Lay the rifle on a bench or chair and post the chair for sale on FB Marketplace. Ask to be PMed with ?s.
That works here for many sellers.

I have never ever sold a gun. Once acquired they stay with me but that was before the boating accident. But in general I never sell them.
