Has anyone heard how the commercial duck camps south of Lake Charles fared? I.e. Savanne Neuvelle, Oak Grove, etc?

Not sure about commercial. I talked to someone that "had" a 2kSF camp there and he said there is nothing left.

Lake arthur hunting club had minor damage but nothing really. Oak grove lost some shingles and some broken windows but mostly unscathed as well.

Had another buddy in hackbery who lost his entire camp

Bad memories of losing everything in Grand Chenier during Rita. Only asked one thing when I realized it wasn't going to make it. The Log of all our hunts. Of course that's the one thing that didn't make it out prior to the storm. Found it floating down the road. Destroyed. God bless everyone hurting and belongings lost. Much less dealing with the after effects.

My camp in Cameron parish and my buddies camp in Pecan Island both made it. Both destroyed in Rita. Buddies camp in Big lake got the roof peeled off like a can of sardines.

Oak grove faired pretty well. It looks like the skinning house and boat shed will need some work but I saw a helicopter shot of the main house and there is at least no water damage. I do know that at least two of the guides houses are nothing but a foundation.

Went down yesterday to our camp on Little Chenier. Total destruction. Oak Grove and Grand View appeared to be in decent shape. The majority of the camps / houses were pretty bad off. The marsh was deposited on the road in several locations up to 8’ thick. There were 2 houses on the road, several oil tanks, a crew boat in front of Oak Grove and a 60’ barge deposited in front of our camp. We lost our roof, but the camp is still standing. Lots of cleanup and restoration ahead.

I was in Hackberry inspecting a property on Wednesday. Very heavy wind damage, almost no storm surge.
