Man I hate to bash a guy trying to make a living but I've had it up to here with this place. I've been fishing out of hopedale for years. Since skipping out of class in highschool. Glenn was a dream as a marina owner. Great guy. Hell he would even come outside and BS and help clean fish when they were slow. This new guy Pat Turner makes this place a nightmare. The facility's are great but it's the service or lack there of. I'm not asking for much here. When I have to pay for a private boat launch all I want is a place where I can run in. Grab a few fishing corks or extra jig heads and maybe some shrimp or live bait. That used to be what you had at old Brenton sound marina since the new management has took over Pat has cursed me out when I was trying to pay him for a boat launch because he had a kayak tournament going on. Told me he's not wasteing his trying to catch live crokers in the bait tank because he's busy and they are to hard to catch. Cursed out his poor employee in front of women children and families. He's given me about 30 of his damn business cards. To top it off the marina doesn't open till 6am so don't try to get bait and be on the water before the sun is up. I'm sorry. End rant. I've just had enough of this place

Yea that will probably be where I launch from now on. 40cent live shrimp I forgot to add. February it changed

1) marina opens at 5am as of Monday this week.
2) shrimp are still 30 cents a piece as of Tuesday this week when I bought 250 and a backdown and total came to 92 dollar. Do the math and that's 75 dollars of shrimp 10 dollars of backdown and 7 dollars of tax.
Every time I have talked to pat he has always tried to be as accommodating as possible and a nice guy. Don't tell me that you hadn't had Glenn or the lady working the boat launch at the end of the day curse someone out because they were being a dumbass everyone has their days.
So idk what kind of shite stirring your trying to do but simmer down.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Pat. He's always been overly helpful with catch reports and I've never seen him act anything but super friendly to everyone there.

Oh absolutely it will. I had 5 other ppl on my boat I was wanting to give them the full trout smackdown experience. We ended up catching 90 trout so I was happy with that. I never fished live when I did actualy pick up a pole and the live was outcatching about 3 to 1. If it was just me and a buddy going though I would have been fishing matrix shads/vudu/gulp

I went when he first took over. He introduced himself and gave me a card he was nice but didn't have any bait at the time. I prefer to launch at sweetwater though.

I've been several times since management change. I think it's improved greatly. The new fella has been super nice and personable. If anything, I disliked the old lady who used to try directing traffic. She was awful and often obnoxiously rude.
The opening at 6 am thing is bull shite. I was paid for and rolling down the spoil canal by 5:30 a few weeks ago.
Hell, he even had someone out there selling bait on Easter Day.

When we launched there last year the management guy cussed a kid tying up his poles sitting in the water at the base of the boat launch waiting on his buddy. Not sure if that was old or new management, but he was cussing them for good reason and we were finally able to put in without backing down on top of them.
Overall good experience for us, but I can see how that may embarrass or rub someone the wrong way if they're the one getting yelled at.

I was thinking about this. Are you sure you didn't mistake BSM for Serigne's in Delacroix? I could see those goof balls cursing a customer.
