I have yet to hear anyone have good experiences with this POS paperweight. Does anyone have any good experiences with it, that has one?

Greatest handgun ever made. It has killed about as many men as the Glock.

Reoccurring revenue source from a disposable product is a great model.

I owned the carbine for a while and it performed well as a cheap range toy. Got rid of it because I didn't like the .40 chambering. I'd buy another one if it was 9mm. However, for a carbine, the 10 rd magazines were a drawback.

Look up Hi-point torture test on Youtube, if you get one that runs from the get-go then it'll probably survive things that would kill a Glock, 1911, Sig, or anything not built like a USP. Due to the nature of their fixed-barrel/blow-back design they can also be very accurate.

What makes you say that? I've always been under the impression that they were good firearms.

Horrible ergos, bad trigger, bad sights, slide mounted safety, poor fit and finish, ugly

Even our beretta rep doesn't like them. If you're set on Beretta, wait for their striker fired gun

I've never owned one but everything I've read about it says that they go bang every time. Doesn't have the prettiest design, the best ergos, the best capacity but if you need a gun on the cheap they are very reliable and accurate. I wouldn't make fun of somebody who owned one.

Rubble and I shot a Hipernt 45 a few weeks ago and man did that thing suck.

We are out in the middle of nowhere Mississippi at a gun range. The range master is clearly some doofus on the autism spectrum, told us stories about his deddy killing "that deer on the wall" while on duty for UPS and driving the kill home in the big brown truck.

Finally make it to the range and he lets us shoot his carry weapon of choice: Hipernt 45.

Rubble takes aim, pulls the trigger, *click*.
Checks safety *click*. Confused look, clearly he had never shot a piece this shitty. Retarded rangemaster "you gotta rack it and then shoot". Rubble follows procedure and "bang!", gets off a round. Pulls trigger again--"click"

This guy that I've never met before is holding a loaded pistol and I am laughing in his face about how shitty it is.

Before you start making all those compromises, if you just want a good gun on the cheap check out the police trade ins. Shot very little, carried a lot so some have some pretty good wear on the exterior. You should be able to find .40 S&W M&Ps and Glock 22s for ~$300 and 9mm varriants around ~$375 online from the usual suspects. Best bang for your buck if you're on a budget and you don't have to sacrifice your safety by purchasing a lesser tier firearm.

I had one years ago when young and mostly broke. It was very heavy and the trigger was very stiff, but never once misfired/stovepiped. It was fairly accurate. I still upgraded as soon as possible.

You aren't really a gangster until you add highpoint to your collection.

I really like my 9mm carbine. I've had it since early 2000 and it's gone through 6k rounds and the only misfire I've had was on a hard primer Tula steel case 9mm. Got a good strike just didn't fire. Did go off on the 2nd strike.

If you want a carry pistol or something for home protection get something decent.

If you just want to burn rounds at the range a hipernt is fine.
