Some here might argue that it was a 4-point.

I've never had the opportunity to hunt deer, but I know some people shoot when they don't have a good shot. Others err on the side of caution. I believe I would be the latter as well. Hopefully you see him again.

Don't worry about it bro. I've passed on a few shots with a gun that'd I was worried about. I would've passed in your situation too.

Im very cautious with my shot decisions.. Last thing i want is a wounded deer. The first pic is the actual pic from daybi was hunting and you can see how dark its getting.. I just wasnt comfortable guessing and shooting... So i sit tight

It happens, I let a monster axis buck walk back in July. He's been haunting my dreams ever since

Don't feel bad. I once had a similar decision to make. I had a clear shot, plenty of light, conditions were perfect. I just couldn't pull the trigger. I am not a practiced deer hunter, just went once a year with friends that had a lease. It was my first chance ever at a deer. But couldn't pull the trigger. Have hunted ducks, doves, squirels, and rabbits wirh no problems. But could not pull the trigger on that beautiful buck. That was about 15 years ago, haven't been deer hunting since.
