Henderson Lake

fished there this past Sat. First time Ive ever been there. We launched right under I-10 with atleast 150 other ppl. I went with a buddy of mine bc we had heard how ppl have been tearing up the bass. One guy said he caught 73 a couple weeks ago but only 5 keepers. Well we only caught 5. One would've been long enough to keep. It was a blue bird (high pressure), east wind day and from the few people we talked to at the launch that were bass fishing, sounded like it was slow for everyone.

We fished the islands to the right of I-10 coming out the launch just past the "channel". We got most of our bites right at sun rise with flukes and then once the sun came up we started flipping under trees and punching thick hydrilla mats with brushhogs and 1oz. weights.
