So I'm bored at work, and I was going to do some shopping around with the insurance money I got for some of the shite that got stolen from me a few months ago. I'll list what was stolen, and if you think I could replace with something better than what I had I'd love to hear it. I'll put the $ cap I was given to replace each item, too. Keep in mind the replacement item just has to be the same type of item, not necessarily the same brand. Here goes...

1. Gerber ergohunter skinner w/ gut hook (knife) $65

2. Nikon Archer's Choice Rangefinder $260

3. Tekna Survival knife: $110

4. Surefire E2D LED Flashlight: $120

5. Burris 8x42mm Binoculars: $465

Yes it sucks hard. Memphis, TN at my ex's house. And frick no they didn't catch them. My "investigating officer" was a total hack job. They stole a lot more than what I listed in the OP. There was a total 27 items including two rifles, iPod, clothes, dog kennel, and my buddy's cargo rack that goes in the hitch receiver.... It's been a massive pain in the neck. Thieves are some of the lowest of the low. and yea i mad

Hell yeah. Justice

FWIW I know for a fact that a guy I grew up with stole my Ruger .270 out of my truck in 07, but I could never prove it. Never found it, but he ended up going to jail for a while for other shite he had stolen to support his drug habit. Justice was served in a sense that it is well known he was butt raped while he was there....frick that guy.

I know far too many people that this has happened to. The brother of the guy that stole my .270 is a real good friend of mine to this day, though. He's getting married in a few months.

Mine got broken into just about 2 years ago, stole my radio. Even though it was aftermarket the insurance covered the cost of it minus $100, but the prices had gone down about that much since I bought it so I kinda came out ahead, got a newer model for about $30 out of my pocket.

Is there a certain model that's better than the other?

To my knowledge there is only one rechargable model. I'll look it up later if i think about it.

My buddy went on a poker run in hammond, well his truck got stolen from the hotel. He had a rifle, cash and ice chest full of beer in it. When they found his truck months later totally stripped they did find the rifle and ice chest empty. They got drunk stripping his truck!!

Damn, 25 years? He must've had priors.

One of my parents' friends' sons broke into our house when I was a kid. Stole 3 of my grandfather's old guns, a bunch of my cartoon VHS's, my parents' high school rings and a bunch of other jewelry.

Didn't mean much to me then, but I want those guns back. That motherfricking piece of horse shite cockgobbler.

So I'm looking at these Streamlights...

What's the difference between the xenon bulb and the LED? Will the xenon work well for blood trailing?

For real bro, check out that CREE. You will be seriously impressed for $20. I use mine to frog, it's like a mini spotlight.

goes to google....

eta: the Cree looks legit. I had never heard of them. I'll probably check one out eventually. On that note, insurance has given me over $100 so I'm playing with house money. I'll probably end up going for a higher end light.
