Have an 06 duramax with 360k and still going strong. If only 200 I wouldn't be worried it just getting broke in good. Have a 2015 "newer" duramax and the older is much better. The 15 has been in the shop fo the emissions crap so newer isn't always better.

Definitely the cheaper one.

Because a reliable 4x4 diesel that's 4 door and affordable isn't common

How much are you towing?

On average maybe 10k.
I've been doing research on the 2011 6.7 Powerstroke. It def had its issues and I read where ones manufactured before 3/2011 are especially problematic. Between fuel sensors failing and injectors going out to complete engine failure due to debris causing glow plug to come apart that ruins the whole engine. This usually occurs not long after 100k miles. The truck I'm looking at was made 1/2011 and has 116k miles. Def has me hesitant.

I've seen some '12's in low 30's as well. Mine is a '12, only at 83k ish. Any 6.7 you buy, do the delete

Guy in loranger did mine for $2300, could be closer to 3k if you hadn't already changed the cold air intake and this turbo pipe cooler thing I had already changed

Holy shite. And that has to be done? My wallet can't afford to buy the truck, put tires on it and do that.
Guess the 09 Duramax with 200k takes the lead

It doesn't HAVE to be done, but it does make it a better truck.
Definitely buy the damn duramax. Those years have bulletproof engines, and it's the cheaper option.

Not has to but makes truck that much better and you won't have to worry about any repairs w dpf system and all that egr shot and all. Truck performance incredible

I feel fairly certain the 09 Duramax has either already had the EGR delete and work done or won't need it at all.
