Have You Ever Had a Spent Shotgun Shell Primer Jam Your Gun?

This happened to me 30 minutes into our hunt this morning. I've never heard of that happening. The shells were from last year, but were stored properly. Any idea why or how that could have happened?
Also, if anything like this ever happens to you, I suggest your finger not be in the way when the chamber finally closes. It hurts.

I'm confused. You mean the shell didn't fire? That of course happens all the time. But How does that jam your gun? Or are you saying the primer came out of the shell hull?

Nah, like I fired all three shells, and they fired fine. I went to reload, and when I pressed the botton to close the chamber, it wouldn't close. It ejected the shells fine, too, but one of the primers remained lodged in there somehow (it came apart from the brass casing). I had to take it completely apart to un-jam it.

Gotcha. Yeah, never had a primer come out but I could see it happening. I can take my gun apart pretty quickly but would be pissed 30 minutes into the hunt
