Well they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles, And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go!

Yep, my BLACKBERRY plant is NOT wild. Walmarks variety.

Nevertheless, my DEWBERRIES are quite wild.

Yeah. Mine are like the ones you posted. They're still small and green right now.

The masses of vines at Cocodrie NWR are getting to be quite impressive since the woods were thinned. I wonder if they allow berry picking? I seriously doubt it.

I don't. Sherburne WMA allows berry harvesting.

Check out LDWF, it'll be on there.

I'd argue that you are only taking fruit, not plants.

But I'd also call for clarification before having to argue that point, red handed.

Soak them in saltwater and see a shite load of bugs that come out. Just washing them in fresh water don't cut it.

I'm going to go ahead and forget this part of the thread. And the fact that dogs piss on dewberries.

Maybe that's what gives 'em that little extra zing!

(no loose dogs out where I am in TX...yotes will eat 'em up. I can't say I've seen a loose dog more than once in the last 8 years).
