I haven't noticed many new handguns recently. It seems like 2-3 years ago everyone came out with new ones. Other than another 1911, I don't know of any I'd want to purchase.

While the appearance of other guns has not changed much, the reliability has improved significantly over the past 10 years. The widespread use of polymers will continue to make pistols lighter and stronger too.

A lot of new handguns came out in 2016. Some were new models, others were caliber additions to current lines, and there were color/features tweaks to existing models.

Also, Shot Show should be coming up soon. We'll see what's new.

I think this is the best time to be a gun owner than I've ever lived through.

Gun rights are on the rise.

We have a pro-gun conservative president with a conservative house and senate.

We have more and more states going to Constitutional Carry.

The firearm manufacturers continue to give us more variety to choose from.

And +1 to ICS saying more guns have become quite reliable in recent years.

I also like seeing a comeback of the 10mm Auto. I think we'll see more releases like that one to vary the market and create standout products.

I'm optimistic for this year's SHOT Show.

Wait till Trump gets his hearing conservation act passed and suppressors become no-stamp items. I'm guessing that will spawn a flurry of new items with threaded barrels.

Hopefully. We don't need anymore low quality carry guns like the S&W and XD lines.

I don't think I'd go that far, but it looks like he'll leave guns alone.

It really makes no sense as it stands today. Just a money grab.
