Anyone fished the Harry Bourg land in Dulac? Making a move to a new camp in Dulac from PAC/Montegut area and would like some tips/info.

yes...I didn't know at the time that it was private as someone at T'Irv's told me a "spot" to go...
wore em out, this was during the week a few winters ago...
stopped in there on the way back from further south on another trip during the weekend...that's when the gentleman stopped and asked if I was a member...
He was very nice about it but wrote down my boat numbers...he had a list of members boat numbers...

crap, that's 150 per person for fishing and 400 for hunting, or is that 150 and 400 per boat?

I hope no one posts them here. You can probably figure it out. It's a big property but not that big

Lots of better places to fish for free, why pay?

Harry bourg can be ok, but its not worth it imo. Much better spots in the area.

Why pay to fish private property when every bass hole and redfisherman does it for free and pleads ignorance? Seriously you going to pay every lease holder who's property you're going to go on, or just the ones with their hands out? In that case i can sell you a sticker too.

It was very good back in the day when they were raising redfish in the pins. A hurricane cMe through and tore them all to shite, the redfish escaped and the fishing was awesome that winter. Then they started charging people to fish it. Bayou LaBut has become silted over and its not as deep. So it doesn't hold as many fish in the winter as it use to.

Sorry friend but that's very inaccurate information. We had hybrid striped bass in the cages when Andrew hit. We were weeks away from going to market with an estimated 3MM lbs. They were being purged from meds when we got whacked.

The redfish were let go by vandals long before Andrew. Those canals and ponds were stacked long before the redfish were let go and still is.

I've caught just as many reds and specks in areas nearby as I have on the property. If you can find the fish on HB land, you can apply the same formula close by. However, when it gets cold and the water gets low, it's like perch jerking back there. So there that.
