I guess it comes down to comfort level. I'm 100% comfortable with the rifle having rounds in the mag.

It is cased and laying across the back seat as safe as can be.

Not really. It'd be safer with no bullets in the box. Somebody would physically have to put a bullet in the gun to chamber one that way.

People get shot every year by guns that they thought were unloaded. I'm of the opinion that there's no way that you can be too safe with a gun.

I bought a gun but left it at the store with the little red plastic thingy where the bolt goes and a trigger lock on it. It is safer that way.


Im thinking about having them transfer it to a location that does not also sell ammo.

can never be too safe.

Team unloaded, but I've been in camps where nobody unloaded, Makes me nervous as hell. What are ya'lls camps rules about drinking?

We don't have a written rule on it. Expect to never come back if you drink and load a gun though.

ETA: Once you plan on not picking up loaded guns anymore, drink up. And preferably start cooking.
