Got a little birthday money and have decided to pull the trigger on a new gun. I've got all the big game guns I need and have narrowed my choice between a Uberti Cattleman 357 or a Henry Goldenboy 22 mag.
What say the OB?

Get something rare and well cared for.

Getting something brand new and around 5-600 at the most. That old style Uberti revolver fits my hand like a glove, but damn that little Henry is sweet. Neither will be shot very much.

I'd get the revolver, but in .45LC. If your going to get a classic, get it in a classic caliber.

A couple of months ago, I walked into my favorite local gunshop.money to spend, wanting a .308.
The shop just happens to have a tika .308 left hand bolt in stock, but he has a winchester88 in .308 also, same price.
I asked advice here on this board. They told me to buy the 88.You can always get the Tika.
That old 88 is the best rifle I've ever had in my hands.

I agree on the classics. My dad has a Wiinchester 100 that I'll have one day, and I've got a LC Smith double 12 from my grandfather.

You are going to want a model 88 for a matched pair.
How much you want for the 100?

Wouldn't take 2g for it. Followed my dad carrying that thing since '74. Been wanting it all my life.
