I'm looking for recommendations on where I can book a guided duck hunt for the second split in Louisiana for 2-3 people. I have been to Grosse Savanne south of Lake Charles which is top of the line IMO and I just got back from Gray Point Lodge in Vinton, LA. Both are really nice but Grosse Savanne is high dollar and booked for the year and Gray Point only books a 10 man hunt. Over night accommodations are not a requirement as we can either drive or get a hotel room. Thank you in advance.

Top gun guide service in Mer Rouge has been smoking them lately. They have a facebook page. I believe it is 250 per gun per day.

There is a guide service named Doug's out of Klondike (below Lake Arthur) that is decent. They offer both rice field and marsh hunts and can do breakfast / overnight accommodations (bunk house) if needed. The hunting is hit/miss, but my experience with Grosse Savante and Graypoint has been similar.

Barred Up

Haven’t hunted with them but they have tons of birds all around them right now.

I live in Welsh and pass by them everyday.

Barred up only hunts specks. Gueydan outfitters is ok Hennings guide service have some of the best property around. They are in thornwell. Have also heard good things about vermilion waterfowl out of gueydan.
I wouldn’t go to Doug’s. Have had bad experiences there.

Yeah, my advice was going to be Grosse Savanne. My buddy is a guide there and he said for the past week everyone has shot a limit.

Never been to Honey Brake in central LA, but their accommodations look nice. Surely they have some birds on the delta.

Better get ready to cough up a kidney or first born to hunt Honey Brake. It's an experience all right when they go in dry on your checkbook. Granted they kill ducks and it's super nice accommodations but I think I would rather kill a decent buck than a limit of ducks for that price tag. The only way I could consider it if it was a corporate hunt I could write off or a once in a lifetime trip with a family member.

nice would be an understatement...I never thought I would see anything like that in that area. Unfortunately, they are way out of the price range for what individuals can spend....totally geared for corporate clientele.

I have always heard about these guys but have no clue where they hunt and I used to be on a few leases up in Jones/Bonita area when I lived in Monroe. Any idea where they hunt?

I was gonna chime in on Mecca spots that Johnny Wink at Megaducks is an option as well as Gordon Markle with Mallard Crossing.

I don’t think I would be able to listen to Wink talk from what I’ve seen on instagram.
Talked to someone last night that hunted some big club around there this weekend and they scratched. Barthalameau club or something like that.

Back in the day Wink used to be known for procuring quite a bit of "local talent" for hunters to partake in. I understand at some point he found the lord and now you can't so much as say a cuss word around him.

I wonder if that is Dansby's club up near Jones/Willmot, AR?

I heard that it is pretty dry up there. Only water is what has decoys floating on it so the ducks are getting beat up with no real place to escape pressure.
