Normally when going to Grand Isle I bring my boat. Problem is my boat is in the shop but I still have that itch to go get on some fish. Thinking about heading down there in the next week or so with my brother and just trying to get on them from the side of the road on Hwy 1. I've caught fish from the side of the road before just goofing off waiting on friends and stuff but never tried putting a limit of reds together strictly from the bank. Any advice on areas to focus on?

Fish the bridges before the island Caroline rig still. As long as water is moving you should be able to put a box together.

What about shrimp under a popping cork? We usually use that in the marsh and always put limits together. I'm planning on going a day and time where the water is moving.

Well that's way back in the marsh. Nowhere near the road.

fish aren't magically going to change because they're on the side of the road

live shrimp under a cork.
