I've been twice, but both hunts have been off of the main parking area.
I got drawn for a blind that's at a smaller parking area. Is it difficult to find? I'm not from the area, and I've had difficulty even finding which road to turn down when hunting there in the past.
Any help with directions or landmarks to look for when needing to make turns is appreciated.

I hunt near there and it's not difficult to find. Which direction will you be coming from? The road shouldn't be too bad mud wise. As for landmarks there really aren't many. Get the map of the refuge and go to Google Maps. The Little California road is easy to spot connecting to hwy 115. Which blind did you get? I usually submit for the lottery but forgot this year.

I'll be coming from SWLA, the Lake Charles area.
I got pulled for #1, but that's next month, I'll be going next weekend with a buddy that got pulled for a different blind.
The first time I went, it was a pit blind, I think #8 and the second was platform, I think #7.
Are they all random pits and platforms or have they all been made into one or the other?
