Good starting set for milling my own wood?

Looking to start milling my own wood, but don't really know where to start as far as buying tools go. Which ones do I need first? My guess was a jointer.
Also looking for recommendations on specific products, I'm not looking for any industrial stuff, just something affordable for a home shop.
Any info is appreciated, I really enjoy seeing a lot of the work on this board. I'm still a beginner but want to get better. I figured learning to mill would be a good next step and help with costs.
TIA

Northern Tool has a chainsaw mill
Granberg Mini Mill for 100 bucks.
That'll get the rough lumber cut to size.
Take that onto a jointer and planer after for the finished boards.
I know I'll be getting that mini mill soon as I have the space and trees.

Do you recommend a jointer and planer?
How are hand jointers?

Depends on how much you want to get into it.
If your going to be turning and burning boards, a machine will save you a lot of time and energy. But jointers ,especially, can get pricey.
If your not going that route and want to save some money along with getting a better feel for planing and jointing, you can always pick up a No. 7 Jointer and do it by hand.
You can grab a No. 6 if the boards won't be large.
If you want to take it all the way, get a No. 7, No. 5 and No.4 plane. That'll take you from rough to finished.

As of right now, probably just rough cut lumber into workable pieces. But I do want to go from trees eventually.
