You know what I mean. Tax included, or really no tax because I bought it on the tax free holiday.

I knew what I hoped you meant. Thank you for the clarification.

I paid $580 about 8 months ago.

If you get it pick up some pierce grip extensions.

Instead of just the grip extensions I went ahead and bought 2 of the 7 round mags that have the extension.

Oh hell no. It's definitely loaded with 4 in the tube. Just not with one chambered.

Got one of those as well. I just feel like the 7 rnd mags make it a little harder to CC.

I agree 100% but it was too late last night and I was too drunk to argue my point.

However, today,

If racking a shotgun scared people so bad, cops wouldn't have live bullets. Also, do you really think a meth head intent on getting your tv is going to run away? They kind of do stupid things. You have now clearly put yourself at a disadvantage against what could be a well armed and seasoned criminal.

It takes me > 1 second to chamber a round. I'm always open go learning new things with regards to self defense, firearms, hunting, etc.

But I don't see how that sub 1 second is going to cause me a deadly problem...

I would say most likely, yes, if they heard a shotgun being cocked they would probably have a certain new element of fear running through their veins whether they had been up, spun out for a week straight or not.

I posted an example the other day that would be great to see how you and others would react. Go to the range, have someone load one round into a shotgun (you believe that there are multiple rounds) and tell you to shoot, rack the pump, and fire a second round. Soon as you shoot the first shot, have them blow an air horn into your ear and laugh as you drop the shotgun in fear.

This would happen to 99% of people, trained or not. That is just part of the problem with pumps. When people are in fear and the adrenaline is pumping, mistakes happen. You have just introduced another potential failure point into the situation where your and your families life is on the line. Also, why not keep a round chambered? If your child or wife knows how to take the safety off and pull the trigger, they know how to rack the pump and accidentally shoot themselves.

Why waste any time at all? I can get a shot off in sub 1 second. You will still be playing with your gun.

You have a lot more confidence in your local meth heads than I do. The ones around here are very unpredictable. Probably because of the meth and all.
