I'm going to leeville, usually fish around bby marina, but the last time I was there about 2 or 3 weeks ago the water was too low to fish. I wanted to start fishing around the bridge or somewhere with more water. Any idea what this cold spell has done to the fish, and what I should look for. Thanks.

I have a camp in that marina and heading there in a few hours. Winds are suppose to be out of the south tomorrow so there should be water. I would try bayou lafourche back toward leeville on the old hwy if you don't have a boat.

the canal itself by the marina is great

just cruise along the canal bank and you should limit out on reds in no time at all no matter how the water level is. we often never even start the big motor and use the trolling motor to cross the canal and just start fishing right there.

for trout try the middle of the canals under a cork and you will pick up quite a bit that way but head down towards the mouth of the lake and try there as well as all the cuts draining into the main canal along the way there if you just want to fish specks

Stop by Mr. Charles camp across from Unca's and say hello. Look for the Black F150 we have had a camp there for years I'm sure I know you!
