Nothing against a Glock 19... but I have a Glock 26 with the extend mag grip and its pretty dang nice. A little smaller than the 19, but more concealable and lighter as well. I love it. Try shooting one before you decide against it if you can. The mag extension was easy to add to my existing mags.

If you are going to conceal carry the 26 is the way to go. I have a 27 that goes with me everywhere. I am thinking about selling in favor of the 26. I can carry either wearing gym shorts with no pockets to and from the gym if need be. The recoil is more of a factor with the baby glocks, but if you can manage it, they are the way to go.

And something a lot of people fail to consider, is that for home defense... you can stick up to like a 15, 17 or 33 round mag in a Glock 26. Its kind of the best of both worlds, IMHO. Small mag for carry, large mag in the night stand.
Watch Hickok45 on Youtube shooting his baby Glocks. He's a fan of them and can hit anything on the range with one. (unfortunately, I am no where near as good as he is... at least not with the Glock.)

The best of both worlds will be when I get the stamp to suppress a Glock 23. You know for dogs and little shits bringing my daughter home late and such.

G26 will be my next one to go with the 19.

Come meet me at the range, l'll let u shoot the 19 & p30 side by side. The p30 with LEM trigger is the bees knees! Like you, I started with a hk45, now my hk collection is growing at the expense of my glock collection.
