I fished the Gulf Coast Kayak Fishing Association/s tenth annual spring tournament on Saturday. As always, the captains meeting and weigh in were a blast. We launched out of Navarre at 5:30 Saturday, and it didn't take too long to get into the kings. Most were in the 6-8 pound range. I caught around ten, with my biggest being 15.5 which was surprisingly good enough for third. Most fish were caught in the 55-60 ft range, trolling around 1.5 knots. Also caught a small mahi, which was my first ever. My partner lost one as well.

At first, I thought this was about a GDCK tournament, and I was getting a little excited.

Yeah, it's been a little while since I had to put the steel to anything. It's not like riding a bike.

Any reason why you can't use a net?

Lol, no peddles here. Don't need them with that Kraken. My fishing partner has an outback, I have to stop every now and then for him to catch up.

Thanks yall. I'm new to filming and editing, getting a little better every time. As far as the gaff work... The mahi was a small target, and the guard is now a non issue. On the last king, I have no excuse
