Gator Trax flats boat...

...is this a practical boat for use in the marsh and basin for fishing and duck hunting? There's one at Bass Pro literally rotting away on the lot.

looks like a good all around boat to me


I rather a GatorTail, personally, but that should do.

Outboard wouldn't work well where I hunt though

Good solid boat. Heavy as hell. Go with duel surface drives or an outboard. Had one of their gator hides for years and loved it.

They look like sweet multiple purpose rigs. I was drooling over one they had at the LA sportsman show with twin 35hp surface drives and a power pole. I checked out a few of their boats, they seem to make a pretty solid boat.

The one at BPS has a 60 Merc and they want nearly $20K for the rig, an '09 model. This boat looks like it may have a rather wet ride, but I like it.

They make a model with taller sides that rides a little drier if you plan on spending some time on lakes and such.
