Anyone have experiences with a certain brand they recommend? Also, what else is needed other than just the game camera? I assume a data plan or something? How much does the most basic run?

My buddy has one, but I'm not sure of the brand. It costs him around $20 a month, but you can suspended the service at any time. Turn it on during the season and turn it off when you're done

My cousin has one and has me on the text list. Not going to lie, it gets pretty old. Every morning when I wake up I have like 50 texts and I find myself constantly looking at them throughout the day. Takes the fun out of going to check the camera.

Going out just to check the camera can't really happen for me due to my schedule. The last thing I really want to do is just to make a 2 hour round trip just to only check a game camera

The only time I make the drive out there, I want to be hunting. I'm a product of the "information now" generation so I really love the idea of knowing real time when deer are out there

I've been thinking of investing in one with a solar panel to put on our place in Kansas. Would hate for it to come up missing though

dont have one, but i did some research on them a while back. Reconyx sounds like the way to go.

I personally couldnt do it because my data signal that the lease sucks.

We use 4 of the above. No complaints. 15 bucks a month each thru AT&T.

How do you get the plan through ATT? You go into a store or do it online?

I went to my local att store and got additional lines added to my current plan

....one line for each camera at $15 plus tax for each line. The sim card will come with the new line.

There is no contract so you can activate and deactivate as needed.

The data used to send pics and control the camera via sms comes out of your shared data that's on your main plan.
