I seem to have some type of fungus growing on my live oak trees. It seems to be covering the truck and branches and preventing the tree from growing its leaves as fast as they should. Anyone have any advice as to what I can use to help with this situation? Thanks in advance!

Pictures would help. And contacting your local county agent.

Definitely need pics.....of the tree....with your wife/gf standing in front of the tree.

But definitely a pic of the fungus you're talking about.

Fungus is usually secondary to a problem with the tree. Usually indicates you have some rot going on inside the trunk from something and that would be the problem with the growth, not the fungus. If it's close to the house I would get an arborist to take a look. One of the signs we use when looking for disease.
